Frangipane is an almond filling, that is used mainly in tarts. This is a Marry Berry recipe so it will work every time.



175g Soften Butter/Baking Spread

175g Caster Sugar

175g Ground Almonds 

4 x Eggs

1 tsp Almond Essence


1. Put the sugar and butter into a large mixing bowl and mix using a stand mixer until the butter and sugar starts to become pale.

2. Add the eggs one at a time, this will prevent the mixture from curdling. Make sure eggs are fully incorporated.

3.  Scrap the slides of the bowl and then fold in the ground almonds and almond essence.
